Star Wars: Shadow Fall, an Alphabet Squadron Novel, will be released in Spring 2020.
The novel will reunite readers with Yrica Quell and her crew, as they prepare for battle with Quell’s old Imperial adversary Major Soran Keize, former leader of the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing—dubbed Shadow Wing.
Fans across the geekdom world rushed the NYCC convention floor Thursday morning when doors opened at 10AM. Anyone who stopped by the Del Rey booth and showed proof of preordering the upcoming novel by Rebecca Roanhorse, Resistance Reborn, were gifted with the paperback version of Alphabet Squadron.
In those final pages, we got the very first glimpse of Shadow Fall, reminiscent of the very first artwork we saw for its predecessor. The news first broke from the Star Wars podcast, Friends of the Force .
Shortly after, Del Rey Books took to Twitter for the official announcement, teasing that there would be more to come at the Lucasfilm Publishing Panel on Friday at 1:45pm ET.
This leaves open the possibility that we may get an exact release date, a short synopsis, and official cover art.
Quell graced the cover of Alphabet Squadron, which could mean Keize takes center stage for Shadow Fall, given that Shadow Wing could loom large once again with their former leader coming back into the fold.
