Apparently, The Mandalorian will have a major Star Wars revelation in its first episode. We take a few guesses at what it could be.
When The Mandalorian hits Disney+ on November 12, apparently we are getting a major “spoiler” Star Wars universe cinematic spoiler.
Granted since it’s in the show, it’s more like a revelation since Star Wars can’t really spoil itself.

That little nugget comes via the New York Times, who also revealed screeners will not be available to the media ahead of the premiere episode. Interestingly, the revelation hasn’t been leaked yet. So, let’s play a little game in trying to figure out what it could be possibly be.
First here thing to know is The Mandalorian is set five years after Return of the Jedi. So we can narrow the timing down to a reveal that would relevant. Here are some candidates:
Boba Fett is truly dead/alive
You can’t look at the Mandalorian and not think of Boba Fett. He and Jango were specially mentioned in the first marketing picture for the show.
Since everything was in the Expanded Universe was removed from Star Wars canon that meant he could still be alive after falling into the sarlacc pit. Though, he is presumed dead.
That still hasn’t stopped fans from hoping Boba may be alive and pop up again in a future Star Wars movie or film. This could be the spot. eE could learn Boba Fett’s fate right away and finally put a rest to if Boba Fett is dead or alive.
Palpatine is hinted at being alive
We know Palpatine is alive at this point since he will be in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Perhaps the reveal in The Mandalorian is how evil Sith made it out alive.
Palpatine being alive wouldn’t be the revelation, but just how he was able to do it.
Though having Palpatine in the show doesn’t make sense thematically. There may not be any Force users in the series considering there doesn’t seem to be too many of them in the galaxy. But that slowly builds up to the point where Luke opens his own Jedi Academy – which ended in disaster.
Yoda’s species name
There was a rumor that Yoda’s species is going to be addressed in The Mandalorian. It seems like an off place to put it and also an odd time to show it, but there is a chance this is what the revelation is.
Although this doesn’t feel like a big cinematic revelation. Unless, Yoda has been disguised as some other species this whole time in which we haven’t seen their faces. (I’m looking at you Jawas)
What do you think this big revelation could be in the first episode of The Mandalorian?
