More details are revealed on Ming-Na Wen’s Star Wars character from The Mandalrian. Yep, she looks like a badass. Who saw that coming?

Her name is Fennec Shand, an assassin who meets the Mandalorian. There’s no way to know if she is on the side of masked bounty hunter, but in this series it seems like it could either way at anytime.
There doesn’t seem to be inherently good and bad people in The Mandalorian, but more people who are doing what they can to survive in a post-Empire galaxy. Fennec Shand, the Mandalorian and the others all fit into that role.
Given the season’s first series is only eight episodes, let’s hope we get to see enough of Wen. She’s a fantastic actor who has been in variety of TV and movies, including Marvel and was the voice actor for Mulan.
If you took a peek at the image, you can see she looks different than her character on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and for good reason. Wen tells Vaniety Fair her character had long, flowing hair on S.H.I.E.L.D. and she wanted to look different. She also has a pretty good idea on how assassins should look.
Check out the rest of the interview with Wen. She gives insight into being in such a big franchise and having Asian-American representation in the Star Wars universe.
The Mandalorian premires on Disney+ on Novemer 12.
