The ending of the The Mandalorian series premiere left a lot of questions to be answers — and will put our hero into a serious dilemma.
Despite having read the leak, I will still surprised by that ending of The Mandalorian. It was not what I was expecting – and based on the comments on social media, many other Star Wars fans felt the same way.
This is the warning: If you haven’t watched the first episode of The Mandalorian, turn back now. Mega spoiler ahead.

In the first episode, we learn the Mandalorian needs to find someone. He is supposed to return this person alive, but dead would be acceptable too but only for half payment. All we know is that the bounty is 50 years old.
So it was shocking when the bounty hunters came upon a baby. But not just any baby.
Baby Yoda.
It’s not THE Yoda, just one of his species. It turns out babies of that species age differently – much more slowly.
What does it mean?
There are a few things going on here. The first being why is this baby so important? The bounty for Baby Yoda (BY from here on out) is enormous. The former Imperials want BY for a healthy sum, one that would be an enormous gain for the Mandalorian and his tribe.
Though we don’t know much about Yoda’s species, they are special. Yoda was one of the most powerful Jedi, but just we met two of his kind throughout the current Star Wars canon.
do they want BY for its potential power or tapping into what allows Yodas to live for so long?
That’s something we will soon find out.
The dilemma
The Mandalorian was offered not just a lot of money, but Beskar Steel, which originated with the Mandalorians. It has history with his people – a history that been marred with atrocities.
This bounty would restore a healthy portion of the steel.
But we learned the Mandalorian was also a foundling, a young child who has seemingly lost his family. He wants to protect others like him, which means protecting a baby who has no one else to care for it.
Here’s the dilemma: Will he turn the baby over in order to support his tribe or turn their back on them to protect a helpless child?
Pedro Pascal’s character lives by a certain code and we have so far seen that he is a man of his word. But at what cost to his own personal code.
We seven episodes to find out.
