As we learn more about the child, the biggest moment of Chapter 2 comes when it reveals more than the Mandalorian was expecting.
It didn’t take long for The Mandalorian to establish what makes the child so remarkable and presumably what has made it so sought after. Just because our main character has gotten the child doesn’t mean other bounty hunters aren’t still chasing after it.
Warning: If you haven’t watched The Mandalorian Chapter 2, there are spoilers ahead.

While we got to visit with our friends the Jawas again and go dowm memory lane with those creatures with glowing red eyes, the biggest moment of the episode came with the Mandalorian was fighting a big nasty rhinocerous looking creature.
The Mandalorian probably would have been killed; he had already been bashed several times and was on wobbly legs when the creature was on its way to smash one last time. The Mandalorian’s chest plate was falling off, he covered in filth and looked as though he might have suffered a concussion.
The creature roared and ran full speed toward him. This should have been the end.
Then Baby Yoda stood in its floating carriage and used a move we have before. It closed its eyes, held its little three-fingered hand up as though he were directing a symphony and used the Force to stop the charging beast. It not only stopped the beast, but also managed to get it to float for a few seconds.
This gave the Mandalorian a moment to right himself and dig his knife into presumably the most vunerable part of the beast because he killed it immediately.
Baby Yoda fell asleep after needing to recover from using the Force.
While it brings more to confusion to the Mandalorian, it brings clarity to Star Wars fans. Since this show takes place after Return of the Jedi, there still aren’t many Force users. It’s still recovering from the control of the Empire and wiping out of the Jedi through Order 66.
The Force at this point might be a mystery to many and also something heard about in old stories. To actually see someone using it up close could be confusing and scary. For it to be a child makes it even more frightening.
Bhttps://www.google.com/analytics/settings/home?scid=12381093aby Yoda tried to use it earlier in the episode to help the Mandalorian heal a wound he seemed to be trying to cauterize. Although it only looked as though Baby Yoda was just being friendly, Mando put him back in his crib before shutting it so Baby Yoda couldn’t get out.
Make no mistake, it seems Baby Yoda is strong with the Force. So it begs the questons what does Dr. Pershing want with it?
The series is now streaming on Disney+. New episodes premiere every Friday.
