1. Lando Calrissian

You may have already seen my article specifically about how great Billy Dee Williams was. The way he seamlessly brought Lando Calrissian back to life as if the original trilogy took place yesterday. As I pointed out in that article, while everyone else from the original cast felt older in addition to obvious looking older, Lando didn’t feel older at all. Other than him saying his flying days were behind him (spoiler: they weren’t).

He was the same slick smuggler he’s always been, which resonated with his comments about never really leaving Lando behind, despite his last time in character being forty years ago. I like to think that at home, he maintained his character voice when doing mundane tasks like changing his cell phone plan.

“You tellin’ me that’s the best you can do?”

Anyway, I digress.

Though we don’t see much of Lando, his contributions are immense. Without him, everyone would have died. Plain and simple. No way around it. Lando did what the entire resistance couldn’t do in The Last Jedi. And that’s all I’ll say about that.
