3. How did Emperor Palpatine survive?
Unlike the last two questions we’ve looked at; this one hasn’t been on our mind for a very long time. After all, we only recently learned that Emperor Palpatine survived and would feature in The Rise of Skywalker.
When the announcement was made, the number one question on everyone’s mind was how? How did he survive falling down a gigantic shaft and the explosion of Death Star 2.0 in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi?
We all thought it would be answered in The Rise of Skywalker, but in true Palpatine fashion the answer he gave was cryptic as hell and didn’t really reveal much. A true evil politicians answer with Sith tendencies.
4. Will there be future Jedi?
At the very end of The Last Jedi we got the hint of future Jedi. It happened on Canto Bight when a young boy used the force to send a broom into his outstretched hand.
It was just a small moment, but a moment that raised a lot of questions. Would we see a new Jedi order formed? Will there be future jedi? Will future Star Wars movies be based on this young boy who we have just seen use the force?
Well, that was all ignored of course in The Rise of Skywalker. Not even a brief mention.
Maybe one day Star Wars will revisit that tiny plot detail. We know future movies are on the way, so maybe one day a connection will be made to what we saw in The Last Jedi, but nothing was mentioned in The Rise of Skywalker leaving another question unanswered.
