Star Wars Resistance: The end is coming and big decisions still need to be made

The end of Star Wars Resistance is close. The storyline with Tam as part of the First Order will have to wrap up, but how will it go?

Star Wars Resistance will be ending soon. Even if you didn’t know the series was ending, you can tell just by the storylines that we are headed for the end.

This past weekend saw an hour special where the Colossus found a planet they thought might make a good could hide out. But that wasn’t enough for Kaz. He joined the Resistance as a spy because he wanted to do something more with his station in life. Hiding from the First Order is not in him.

When he attempted to leave and meet up with the Resistance, he triggered a probe droid, which relayed his coordinates to the First Order. They showed up and found the Colossus.

The hardest part though was seeing Tam and Kaz in the middle of dog fight. She had him locked on her target while in her TIE fighter, but Kaz shot at the First Order’s star destroyer bridge. Instead of Tam taking Kaz out, she went for the missile instead and shot it down, saving the leadership of the First Order.

Tam never pulled the trigger, but she didn’t have time to make a choice as she went for the missile instead.

Kaz didn’t know for certain it was Tam, but he had a feeling it was (which goes back to us wondering if he isForce sensitive).

Yeager had some harsh words for Kaz saying Tam turned her back on them and now they have to do the same for her. As long as Yeager has known Kaz, he must realize this isn’t going to happen. Kaz is all heart and cares deeply for his friends.

This is also why we know the series is ending soon. Between these two episodes we saw Yeager tell Kaz he was proud of him and the man he has become since joining the Colossus. He’s not a kid anymore.

We also see the heart of the series in these moments. While we are watching the fight between the First Order and Resistance, it’s also about family – that goes in line with the themes of so many of the movies and other series. It’s about chosen family and not necessarily the one you are born into.

Kaz will have to make a choice when it comes to Tam, just as she will have to do for her former family on the Colossus. Does Tam remain with the First Order, who is so good at psychological warfare and says exactly what people need to hear for them to remain loyal, or does she eventually choose the Colossus of which is home to people who genuinely care about her, but definitely made some huge blunders along the way?

She really doesn’t have a good decision. We know the First Order isn’t the right choice because they are a horrible. Maybe Tam is better off on her own.
