Ahead of the premiere of the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Disney + has released a teaser showing The Bad Batch, but who are they exactly and what makes them so special?
With less than a week to go until the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The animated series is pulling out all the big guns in its marketing campaign. Their most recent announcement shows The Bad Batch in action, but who exactly are these clones and why you should be so excited?
Introduced during the original run of the animated series, but never aired. The Bad Batch were intended to be shown as part of the Season 7 premiere; but with the series being canceled the unaired episodes were shelved. In 2015 the four-part story arc was released on StarWars.com.

Officially known as Clone Force 99. The clones who make up this unit are genetic mutations of the original clones who make up the clone army. The Kaminoans had the intent of making theses clones super soldiers, however, were not successful.
Due to their genetic mutations and differences from regular clone soldiers, they were given the nickname The Bad Batch. A total of four of these clones make up Clone Force 99.

Known as Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Crosshair. Each one of them had unique skills and personalities. All of which made them not only an elite commando force, but an unorthodox one as well.
Hunter is considered the leader, strong and indifferent. Wrecker is the hot head who likes to smash; not really surprising with such a name. Tech is the strategist brain of the group. Crosshair is the deadliest of them all; skilled in both close quarter combat and firearms.
It’s really exciting to see the animated series continue this story arc. Clone Force 99, or the Bad Batch, is another expansion of the Star Wars universe. An expansion that some of us would have known, but only a minor size of the fandom. Now a much larger part of the fandom will see this elite force team up with Cody and Rex.
