A live-action Ahsoka Tano may coming to our screens. A new rumor states Rosario Dawnson has been cast as the popular Star Wars: The Clone Wars character.
Things have been quiet around the Star Wars rumor front, but that all changed today.
The latest rumor comes from Slashfilm on a potential live-action casting for Ahsoka Tano. Yep, the Togruta who stole our hearts from The Clone Wars and Rebels may be appearing in live-action soon.
As with any rumor, we take this a grain of salt. There hasn’t been any official confirmation.
So here’s the rumor: Rosario Dawson was cast as Ahsoka Tano in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, according to SlashFilm.
That’s a bit of a heavy piece of reporting. We can’t verify the validity of the rumor, but it’s one we will take a look at more closely.
Slashfilm isn’t one of those sites that just posts clickbait rumors. We tend to avoid those types of rumors, but still like to take a look at them every once in a while.
The only thing that seems odd about the rumors is the timing. If The Mandalorian takes place about five years after Return of the Jedi, this means Ahsoka is well out of the Jedi Order and has been searching for Ezra. Maybe this means Ahsoka and Sabine found Ezra – or what happened to him — and she is back?
It would be an odd way to tell Star Wars fans one of their greatest cliffhangers has an answer. We just don’t know it yet.
One thing about the first season of The Mandalorian is it never met a bit fan service it didn’t like. While it would make more sense to have someone like Sabine or Bo-Katan considering their ties to the darksaber, we’ll never say no to Ahsoka.
What’s the bigger story for you? Rosario Dawson coming to Star Wars or Ahsoka Tano in live-action?
