Disney has revealed a new timeline for upcoming original Star Wars series. We have a better an idea of when to expect the Cassian Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Star Wars fans have a better idea of when new series are coming to Disney+. In a French presentation, Disney revealed the timing for the Cassian Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

The Cassian Andor series will hit Disney+ in 2021 and the Kenobi series is expected to hit the streaming service in 2022.

More from Disney Plus

While that might seem like a long time to wait for the new shows, as of right now, fans will be at least be getting a new Star Wars original live-action series for the next three years (including 2020).

The calendar starts with The Mandalorian Season 2 hitting Disney+ in October. Then the Cassian Andor series the year after with the Kenobi series coming in 2022.

Here’s what the French presentation had to say about the series (as we used Google Translate):

For the Cassian Andor series, it says the series will take place in the early years of the Rebellion before the events of Rogue One (obviously). Their goal is to give hope to the galaxy.

Other than the timing of 2022 for the Kenobi series, there isn’t much more added from the presentation. It even says the series is still untitled.

While the next Star Wars movie isn’t scheduled to arrive until 2022, it’s exciting to think we will still be getting new content for years to come. The series will feature characters we already know, but in a different timeline with new adventures.
