Is Ming-Na Wen headed back to The Mandalorian? It’s a possibility
With rumors speculating Ming-Na Wen is headed back to The Mandalorian, we take a look at how that is possible.
Ming-Na Wen appearance in The Mandalorian was short lived – much to the disappointment of a number of Star Wars fans.
It seemed her character Fennec Shand was killed off in her one episode, taking away an assassin with impressive skills much sooner than we hoped. However, there is a chance she is coming back.

Recently, The Hashtag Show reported Wen would be returning for the second season of The Mandalorian, which is set to premiere in October. Many fans are probably wondering … How?
It’s a good question. It was the same one I asked myself when seeing the report. At this point, I’m taking the report as a rumor although The Hashtag Show is using an anonymous source. It’s one of those things that until Disney confirms it, we’ll take it with a pinch of salt.
Having said that, while it seemed Shand was dead, there was some room left to bring her back.
She appeared in the Chapter 5 of the first season when Mando traveled to Tatooine. He helped an aspiring bounty hunter track down Shand.
Shand was shot and left for dead in the desert. However, at the end of the episode, while Shand’s body lay on the ground, a mysterious figure walked up to her. While we never saw the person’s face or more than their boots and cape, there was never really a follow-up to this throughout the first season.
Many speculated as to who it could be. I fell into the camp that it was Moff Gideon and it showed how he was on Din Jarrin’s trail.
This person could have saved Shand. Perhaps she wasn’t dead at the time, just close to it.
This small scene is the opening for Jon Favreau to bring her back.
We’ll just have to wait until the Fall to find out.
