Doctor Aphra is starring in a brand new Star Wars audiobook that will expand and adapt her comic book origin, and StarWars.com has the first details!
And you thought this week would be all about The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian? Think again, my friends, because Doctor Aphra is coming to town!
The renowned archaeologist is returning to the Star Wars Canon in a new audio drama written by Sarah Kuhn! The audio drama will be released on July 21, feature a full cast, and will tell the expanded origin story of the fan-favorite Doctor Aphra that was first seen in Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larocca’s Darth Vader comic series back in 2015.

Since her introduction in Vader, Aphra has gone on to receive both critical and fan acclaim in her own self-titled series, Doctor Aphra, a comic book that is set to relaunch with a new No. 1 issue later this year from writer Alyssa Wong.
After last year’s massively successful Dooku: Jedi Lost audio drama written by Cavan Scott, the decision to create another fully cast audio project seemed like a no-brainer. However, the decision to feature such a beloved character that originated in the publishing world is bold, exciting, and further signals the dedication that the entire Star Wars brand has to the world of expanded content.
