Star Wars: The Old Republic May events include a new pet and sales along with a number of other events. Get the details below.

With May in full swing, Star Wars the Old Republic releases its list of events for the month, including some additional content for May the Fourth.

Every month, Star Wars the Old Republic has events that the player base is able to take part in, where it allows players to get access to unique equipment and titles. But due to it being May, the team also celebrates Star Wars Day, or “May the Fourth Be With You”, as well as Revenge of the Fifth Day.

Starting with the holidays, the team is giving players a new pet, M4-Y9 astromech droid. This droid is like any other pet, where it follows players around, though it does not provide any combat advantage. However, M4-Y9 can be used as a decoration on the player housing, the Stronghold.

Also for the holiday celebration is a sale on collections purchases. Collections are the place where players can find their Cartel Market purchases. Players can pull out multiple copies of an item on the character that purchased it, but if they pay cartel coins to unlock it account-wide, they can use those items on all characters on a server. This sale began on May 4th and will last until May 18th.

The team has also added a few more songs from the game onto their official youtube channel, located here.

As for the monthly events, there’s the double XP event from April 21 to the extended date of June 16. This event grants players double XP, Conquest, Valor, and Renown rewards for completing tasks in the game.

From May 5-May 12, SWTOR is running the Dantooine Pirate Incursion. The Heroic Galactic Republic and the Evil Sith Empire wage war against the Nova Blade gang to gain control of this pastoral resource world.

From May 19-May 26 is the Gree event. The Illusive Gree will set up shop on Ilum to uncover the mystery of the Gray Secant, the ancient Gree Starship that crash-landed on the planet.
