Temuera Morrison returns to Star Wars to play Boba Fett in The Mandalorian Season 2, according to a new report.

Is a Star Wars fan favorite coming back?

According to a The Hollywood Reporter, Boba Fett will appear in Season 2 of The Mandalorian.

More from The Mandalorian

It seems like a pretty big reveal given the series isn’t out until October, but leaks are going to leak.

According to the report, Temuera Morrison is coming back to the Star Wars universe and will play Boba Fett in the Disney+ series. We saw Morrison in Attack of the Clones when we learned Jango Fett was the person all the clones were based off of. That means Morrison could easily play Boba Fett since he was also a clone.

The report states it will be a small role and alludes to the scene at the end of The Mandalorian Chapter 5 signaling a potential return.

The end of Chapter 5 saw a presumed Fennec Shand laying in the Tattoine dessert. The camera followed a set of boots with spurs on it as it walked up to the body. We never saw anything more than the boots, spurs and bottom of a cape.

Boba Fett wore spurs.

That’s the connection.

However, this come as news because it was presumed Boba Fett was killed in Return of the Jedi when he was knocked off Jabba’s barge and swallowed by a sarlacc in the Tattoine dessert.

In the Legends stories, Fett lived and fought his way out of the sarlacc. However, it seemed he was dead in the current Disney timeline.

Having said that, Morrison is the face of the clones. He could potentially play any of them if he is coming back. It makes you wonder.
