Another animated character is rumored to appear in The Mandalorian. It makes sense considering just how the first season ended.
With rumors surrounding The Mandalorian that a number of well known characters are joining the second season, there’s another name that has been thrown into the mix.
SlashFilm is reporting another Clone Wars character will be getting their live-action version.
Warning: Spoilers ahead!
The character in question is Bo Katan, a Mandalorian warrior who appeared in both The Clone Wars and Rebels. She has a complex history but became a formidable leader. According to the report, Bo Katan will be played by Katee Sackhoff, the woman who voiced her in the animated series.
Her appearance in The Mandalorian would make sense since the first season ended with Moff Gideon holding the darksaber, which we last saw in the hands of Bo-Katan in Rebels. The biggest question surrounding the reveal was how in the galaxy did Gideon get it.
If this rumor turns out to be true, I guess we will get our answer.
Many of the rumors on casting surrounding the second season of The Mandalorian have stemmed from characters from The Clone Wars. First, there was the rumor that Ahsoka (played by Rosario Dawson) would be joining The Mandalorian. Then, there was Temuera Morrison coming back to Star Wars to appear as Boba Fett.
If you think the first season of The Mandalorian was full of fan service, it looks as though the second season will be filled with even more.
If all these rumors are true, Star Wars fans can expect it to be done right. With Dave Filoni involved in the Disney+ series, you know he’ll make sure the characters he brought to life will be what they need to be.
