Star Wars rumor: Is Bail Organa coming back to our screens?
There’s another Star Wars rumor about a Disney+ series milling about. This time it involves the Cassian Andor series and a familiar character that could appear.
If you love Star Wars rumors, this past week has been a good one for you. Another rumor just dropped, but this one is about the untitled Cassian Andor series.
The rumor comes from Bespin Bulletin, which has a good track record when it comes to rumors and leaks. However, we must caution to take it all with a grain of salt as none of it is confirmed yet.

According to Bespin Bulletin, Jimmy Smits is in talks to play Bail Organa in the Cassian Andor series that will be on Disney+. It makes a lot of sense, especially with Genevieve O’Reilly confirmed to come back as Mon Mothma.
The series takes place – obviously – before Rogue One, looking at the Rebellion network of which Bail Organa is an instrumental part. Alongside Mon Mothma, he was on the leaders. It doesn’t actually make much sense to have a series like this and bring back characters of that era without Organa.
In addition, Bespin Bulletin is also saying Alistair Pierce is also in talks to return as Davits Draven. Again, it all makes sense if any or all of it were true.
There’s no timetable on when the Cassian Andor series will appear on Disney+. It’s expected in 2021, but there are still a number of factors at play, including that movie and TV show productions have been shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In time, filming will return and that will be the biggest factor in figuring out when this series will finally grace our screens. Hopefully, they will have the scripts figured out by then.
On another note, Bespin Bulletin claims to have heard Temuera Morrison would be appear in The Mandalorian Season 2, but as Captain Rex and not Boba Fett.
Hurry up, October!
