Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge will premiere next month
Have you ever wanted to be a Jedi? Of course, you have! That’s what every kid has dreamed of while watching Star Wars.
Now, young kids are getting the chance as they get to take part in a new game show from Disney and Lucasfilm – Jedi Temple Challenge.

LucasFilm gave us a trailer, which shows children teaming up and facing different obstacles, questions and more as they work their way into becoming Jedi Knights. It premieres on June 3 on StarWarsKids.com and the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.
The show is hosted by Ahmed Best, who was the voice of Jar Jar Binks in the prequel trilogy.
It looks like a lot of fun and any ‘90s kid will automatically be taken back to Legends of the Hidden Temple. Jedi Temple Challenge has a lot of striking similarities to the old Nick game show and that isn’t a bad thing.
Kids focus on Star Wars
“With so many children and families home and looking to Star Wars for hope and entertainment, we wanted to make Jedi Temple Challenge available to as many young fans as possible by airing the series on our Star Wars Kids network for everyone to enjoy,” says Lucasfilm’s senior director of Online Content & Programming, Mickey Capoferri said in a press release.
Lucasfilm continues its outreach toward children with new programming. SW Kids already features animated shorts about stories we already know with Star Wars Adventures. Even though the first movie came out more than 40 years ago, it constantly pulls in a new generation of fans with its timeless themes.
Giving kids a chance to compete for an elusive lightsaber seems like a dream come true.
Now, we’re just waiting for the adult version of the show for the rest of us.
