Star Wars: Jon Favreau gives update on The Mandalorian Season 2

Star Wars fans were given a much-needed update about The Mandalorian Season 2 during ATX
During the ATX Television Festival, Star Wars fans got an update on what was going on with The Mandalorian Season 2. Along with tidbits about how The Mandalorian came to be what it is on Disney+.
Creator of the live-action Star Wars series, Jon Favreau was in attendance. Along with Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Deborah Chow, and Taika Waititi.

Discussing the vision Favreau had of the series before it got underway. Each of the other panelists also discussed various aspects of the season. With Baby Yoda and how the character who captured the heart of the fandom was brought to life.
Towards the end of the panel, Favreau spoke of The Mandalorian Season 2 and where they were regarding a release date for the series.

The Mandalorian Season 2 is on track
Despite so many other series being delayed due to the global pandemic. The Mandalorian Season 2 has not been affected. Favreau stated during the ATX panel that they had managed to complete filming before the lock down and only the finishing touches need to be completed.
All of which could be done during lock down.
This is welcoming news for Star Wars fans. 2020 has been one bleak year for so many of us and to have something to look forward to is some much need light relief. The Mandalorian will be here in October.
Favreau also stated how the latest season does not feel like a new season. Rather more of a continuation of the story. So expect every to kick off exactly where we left Mando and The Child.
