Star Wars teams up with Polaroid for The Mandalorian-themed camera

Aspiring photographers can snap some photos with this Mandalorian-themed Polaroid camera.
Artsy Star Wars fans can now add a bit of The Mandalorian flair to the photos they take with a new camera coming soon. Polaroid has announced that it’s partnered with Lucasfilm to bring fans a new Polaroid Now i‑Type Instant Camera that’s Mandalorian themed.
The camera, which is available to purchase now, features that signature Polaroid shape, but its colors are reminiscent of Mando’s Beskar armor from the show. At the top of the camera, there’s even the signet of Din Djarin’s clan that we saw in season 1. But that’s not it. The camera also comes with special film for the camera that comes with Mandalorian-themed prints on it. For example, your photo can come out with a Baby Yoda print at the bottom or perhaps even the Star Wars logo.
For those looking to get the camera alone, it will cost you $119.99. The special Color i-Type film will cost you $17.99, but there’s also the option to bundle both in a starter kit for $169.99. For more information, you can visit Polaroid’s website, and you can scroll down below to see pictures of the collector’s edition camera.
This announcement comes just as Star Wars revealed that it will be celebrating The Mandalorian every Monday beginning next month. Called Mando Mondays, it’ll start on Oct. 26, just a few days before The Mandalorian season 1 comes out, and it will continue every Monday. (Presumably until the series is done ending). In these weekly updates, Star Wars is promising that fans will see more products as well as extra content, so it sounds like a promising update that a lot more is in store for The Mandalorian.
Already, there have been tons of other Mandalorian merchandise out there. Lego just revealed a new buildable Baby Yoda set that will be out in time for season 2. And a Baby Yoda bags collection had been announced prior to that.
Yes, it’s a lot of merch to keep up with. But the good thing is that there’s no shortage of options when it comes to collector’s items to buy. Perhaps it’s too much for those who perfect a simple selection of items, but it doesn’t look like these merchandise collabs will slow down anytime soon.
You can catch season 2 of The Mandalorian beginning Oct. 30 on Disney+.
