Star Wars: The Old Republic gets new update in time for The Mandalorian season 2

A new update for Star Wars: The Old Republic features Mandalorian-inspired gear and more.
Just about every corner of the galaxy is feeling the pull to The Mandalorian side. Season 2 is just days away, after all. And with the season set to begin streaming on Disney+ on Oct. 30, so many areas of Star Wars are getting The Mandalorian treatment.
That includes the online game Star Wars: The Old Republic, which just revealed a new update has come out for the game that will bring in some Mandalorian-inspired items.
The Old Republic Twitter account shared an article with more information about the update today. This update, 6.1.4, will bring armor sets, weapons, mounts and other Mandalorian-related upgrades to the Cartel Market.
As seen below and in the tweet above, one of the new items you can get is the Infamous Bounty Hunter’s Armor Set. And while the skin isn’t necessarily Mando himself, it’s still a neat addition to the game if you want to unleash your inner Mandalorian.
As the website explains, there’s a gauntlet that extends out when you’re in combat with this armor. And if you like, you can bundle it with the Payday Blaster Pistol and the Amban JP Blaster Rifle — the rifle, specifically, comes with its own unique kill animation.
There’s an additional armor set called the Discharged Infantry, which you can see the woman in the blue outfit wearing in the tweeted photo. Plus, on top of all that, there are two new mounts as well: Devastator Hoverturret Mount and the Desert Mudhorn Mount, the latter of which looks pretty darn cool. And, the last item in this pack includes the Exiled Mercenary Decoration Bundle — and all items are available now.
So, if you’re both a fan of Star Wars: The Old Republic and The Mandalorian, you won’t want to miss out on this update. Or, if you’re a Mandalorian fan who’s now curious about The Old Republic thanks to this update, you might want to go out and give it a try. We still have a few more days before The Mandalorian season 2 launches, so you’ll definitely need something to do to hold you over in the meantime.
