Firstly, Disney+ offers multiple different streaming plans depending on what you want to view. If you are looking for just plain old Disney+ then it will be $7 per month to get content from Pixar to National Geographic to Marvel and the most important one, Star Wars. Disney owns ESPN and has now partnered with Hulu to offer all three services for $13 per month. The Hulu they offer is ad-supported so if you want to get it without ads you’ll have to go to Hulu and sort that out. To find out more and explore for yourself here is the landing page for Disney+.

Now that you have the streaming platform, you have to decide how you are going to watch it. If you already have a television, but it doesn’t stream platforms like Disney+, Amazon Prime, or Netflix, then you’ll need something that will help you do that.

The more affordable option is a Google Chromecast for just $30. Everything on this operates through the Google store so if you are more into the Apple store or have gift cards you want to use on another platform, this system won’t support those. In addition to Disney+, you will be able to stream Netflix, HBO Max, YouTube, and more.

The next highest level is a Roku, specifically their Ultra version which is $80. This one can stream much more than the Chromecast can like AppleTV. It also is compatible with lots of TV such as ones that utilize 4K. You’ll also get 90 days of free Pandora with the Roku Ultra to stream music.

Lastly, the most expensive one, AppleTV comes in at $150. It isn’t an actual television nor is it only the streaming platform called AppleTV. It is just a way for you to stream through the Apple store and is connected to your AppleID. This is helpful if you want to look at photos on your iPhone or iPad since it is all interconnected. You can still get all the same streaming services from Roku, but you’ll also have the whole App Store to pick from.

If you are in the market for a new television and want one that has streaming capabilities, then you are in luck because many of them now work with Disney+. Here we have highlighted ones from Samsung, LG, and Insignia.

Firstly, the most affordable version is the Insignia 32-inch Smart HD TV at $130. It is the Fire edition so you can easily watch shows from Amazon Prime in addition to other platforms like Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+.

The LG 50″ 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV is a bit of an upgrade since it has Amazon’s Alexa built into the television and costs $373. This device has the same capabilities that the Insignia does, but it elevated. The 4K HD, 50-inch screen, and built-in Alexa make this television a more sophisticated option.

The Samsung Class Crystal also utilizes 4K HD, a 50-inch screen, and built-in Alexa capabilities, but the crystal display makes it just a little bit better than the LG. At $398 you are paying for the better quality picture that you will get the crystal class screen as opposed to the LG version.

Disney+ also says they work with Android TV devices in addition to the ones we have listed here.

If you are more of an on-the-go watcher, a tablet is the best option for you. Disney+ is available on both Apple’s iPad and Amazon Fire Tablet. The biggest difference here is which platform you are more loyal to using.

The new Apple iPad 8th generation comes with 32 GB of memory, WiFi, and is in gold, but costs $300. The Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet has the same amount of memory, is in white, and costs $150, but it is ad-supported.

Disney+ also says it works with Android tablets and phones as well as computers such using macOS, Chrome OS or Microsoft PCs. You can also stream Disney+ using a PS4 or an Xbox One.
