The Mandalorian Chapter 12’s synopsis may have leaked, and Carl Weathers seems to confirm that information.

For the last few weeks with The Mandalorian season 2 streaming, Disney+ itself has not officially been making the chapter synopses publicly available until the episodes air. Still, somehow the one-sentence synopses find their way onto Google and IMDb, and that’s happened yet again with season 2 episode 4, otherwise known as The Mandalorian “Chapter 12.”

And while we typically take these chapter synopses with a grain of salt until the official ones come out, it seems like The Mandalorian actor Carl Weathers himself was just too eager to let us know what the next episode is about.

The Mandalorian Chapter 12 synopsis

Here’s the leaked episode synopsis for The Mandalorian Chapter 12:

"The Mandalorian rejoins old allies for a new mission."

The leaked synopsis has been out for a few days now, but it wasn’t until Carl Weathers went on quite the tweeting spree Wednesday night that it began to confirm everyone’s suspicions. Below is one of the first tweets that he sent out about the episode, followed by two additional tweets he sent out confirming it’s the episode he’s directing.

It looks like Weathers is promising a really big episode in Chapter 12. So far, the first three episodes have consistently been hit after hit, so this one should be no different. At the same time, we’re delighted to see that the old gang is finally getting back together again. It’s a bit unfortunate that we had to wait four episodes for the return of Greef Karga and (what it seems like) Cara Dune. But whatever they’re about to pull off, it should certainly be interesting.

What’s unclear about this episode in particular is how much it will move the narrative forward in terms of the story’s overall plot. Episode 3, by far, moved the series the furthest this season. And right now, we’re currently stuck on the Mandalorian needing to seek out Ahsoka Tano so she may tell them about the Jedi (and how to return The Child to them).

Of course, we know this series likes to draw out its biggest plot points and reveals, so it may be possible that Chapter 12 will be another side mission. Possibly even something of another filler episode until we get to season 2 episode 5, the episode that The Clone Wars’ Dave Filoni directed. Still, whatever happens in this episode, we’re more than excited to witness Carl Weathers’ directorial debut on The Mandalorian because it should be a good one.
