The holidays are a time for getting together and celebrating, but here a few Star Wars characters you may not want to invite to the party.

Believe or not, the holiday season is almost upon us. A perfect time to stay home with the family, brew some hot chocolate and put on your favorite Star Wars films. No matter which one you choose, some fan-favorite characters will join you, such as Luke Skywalker, C-3PO or the kooky Gungans and Loth cats.

I think back specifically to the celebratory scene on Endor following the Second Death Star’s destruction or the joy across the galaxy when Anakin twirls his way to taking down the Trade Federation. There is even an entire Holiday Special to get you in the festive spirit and a new one from LEGO as well. The Star Wars universe has its own holidays as well, such as Boonta Eve and the thrilling podrace that comes with it, or Kashyyyk’s Life Day for the Wookiees.

However, while Star Wars is filled with joy and triumph, there are a few characters who may damper the holiday spirit. From smugglers to bounty hunters, swindlers to Sith, loads of dangerous characters and creatures pollute the galaxy. They may serve the story well, and some are even my favorite characters, but they don’t quite deserve a spot at the dinner table.
