Who plays Boba Fett in The Mandalorian?
Every new episode of The Mandalorian season 2 seems to thankfully be extremely eventful one way or another. Last week, in “The Jedi,” fans were finally introduced to a live-action version of Ahsoka Tano (played by Rosario Dawson), a popular character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Her appearance did not disappoint, and it set up many plot points to explore in this season and beyond.
This week’s new episode, “The Tragedy,” unfortunately saw Grogu getting taken away from Din Djarin by Moff Gideon’s Dark Troopers, but it also saw the show’s first official introduction to Boba Fett. Star Wars fans will know this character, a bounty hunter who wears Mandalorian armor, from The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and Attack of the Clones. He’s also appeared in The Clone Wars.
When Mando meets Boba Fett on Tython in the latest episode, Boba says that the Beskar armor belongs to him. Din Djarin is of course skeptical, and asks if he’s actually a Mandalorian. Eventually, they come to a deal, and after Baby Yoda is stolen, Boba promises he’ll help get him back.
Star Wars fans are certainly very excited to see such an iconic character come back for The Mandalorian, especially with the ongoing buzz that he could have his very own TV series on Disney Plus soon. Boba Fett’s reported casting turned out to be true, so who is the actor who portrays him this time around? Let’s get into it.
Boba Fett actor in The Mandalorian
Temuera Morrison is the actor who plays Boba Fett in The Mandalorian. Fans might be very familiar with Morrison already, as he portrayed Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones, along with voicing the character in video games. He’s also actually voiced Boba Fett in a few video games, so it looks like he’s technically reprising that role for The Mandalorian!
Thank goodness we know The Mandalorian will be continuing for at least another season, because there’s so much more they can do with the fan-favorite characters they’re including.
