Today marks the end of yet another journey for the Mandalorian as the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian series has finally been released on Disney+. And with the episode being released, we finally have an official runtime for this season-ending episode.

In last week’s episode, the momentum was building up toward the finale after the capture of The Child back in episode 6. That led the Mandalorian to seek the help of Migs Mayfeld. And in turn, he and the (eventual) ex-prisoner worked together to infiltrate an Imperial base. The operation almost went south a couple of times. But in the end, the team pulled it off and was successfully able to grab the coordinates to Moff Gideon via an Imperial terminal.

Now that we’re heading into the season finale, we’ve got yet another adventure on our hands. And as we’ve seen from the other seven episodes this season, those journeys have all come with varying lengths. We’ve gone as high as 55 minutes and as low as 34 minutes. So where does The Mandalorian season 2 finale fit on this list? Let’s find out.

The Mandalorian Chapter 16 runtime

According to Disney+, the runtime for The Mandalorian season 2 episode 8 (Chapter 16) is 47 minutes long. That’s the rounded up runtime.

The official length of the episode is 46:12.

As we’ve noted before, this runtime doesn’t necessarily encompass the entire journey from start to finish. The entire runtime takes into consideration the series recap and the opening title as well as the closing credits and anything else. Still, the 40-minute mark is usually the best runtime for The Mandalorian because that gives you ample time to tell the story in a manner that’s not too short and not too long.
