Daisy Ridley, more stars join the cast of Great Celebrity British Bake Off

Ready, set, bake! Well, you viewers at home don’t have to be up for the challenge, but a handful of celebrities are certainly ready to take a stab at baking for all to see. And just last week, British TV network Channel 4 shared the upcoming cast of a special edition of the Great British Bake Off  — its celebrity edition.

In a series of tweets, Channel 4 tweeted out a thread of all the stars who will be joining the series this season. And none other than Rey herself, Daisy Ridley, will be among the star-studded cast. In the tweet introducing Ridley, we see her already in her baker’s apron on the Bake Off set, and it looks like she’s absolutely ready to get baking. Plus, it’s all for a good cause.

The season is working in cooperation with Stand Up To Cancer, as this whole season will be for charity. And in each of the five episodes for this celebrity season, four celebrities will face off against one another in the Signature, the Technical and the Showstopper challenge for a chance to be the best British celebrity baker there is.

Curious to watch The Great Celebrity British Bake Off? Well, if you’re in the UK, then you have the privilege of watching each episode live on Channel 4. Though, they haven’t indicated exactly when this season will air just yet.

For the American viewers (as Culturess notes), you can watch episodes of The Great British Baking Show (as it’s called over here) on Netflix. And episodes typically release on Netflix “a few days” after they air in the UK.

So, here’s to a successful round of baking for Daisy Ridley. That is, we hope she’ll surely give the competition a run for their money and not turn this into an episode of British Nailed It. (If she can create an automatic rising cake like the rising bread Rey made in The Force Awakens, props to her.)

There will be some pretty nice competition she could be up against in her episode. For example, actor James McAvoy has been confirmed to be in the 2021 Celebrity Bake Off. And even famed YouTuber KSI will be a part of the action. Plus, there’s a load of other British celebs worth checking out, which you can see all of them in the thread shared by Channel 4.
