It’s been well over a year since we last saw Daisy Ridley as Rey in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. And like the majority of her Star Wars sequels cast, that hasn’t been the last we’ve seen of her.

Soon, Daisy Ridley will be starring in Chaos Walking — a film that’s been long delayed and finally arriving this year. And she also lent her voice acting talents to the VR experience called Baba Yaga, which is currently available on the Oculus Quest. But does Ridley have any dream roles for the future? Recently, the actress was asked about one role in particular, and it certainly seems to have struck her interest.

Speaking to Sariah Wilson, the author revealed on Twitter that she asked if Daisy Ridley had heard about the Spider-Woman rumors. As the rumors go, last year, it was reported that Olivia Wilde was slated to direct a Spider-verse movie around a female character. And while it hasn’t been 100 percent confirmed by Sony, many think that means a Spider-Woman movie will be coming soon. So, could Daisy Ridley see herself in that role if the movie does become a reality? She thinks so, and the actress shared she does have a love for the current Marvel projects.

Will Daisy Ridley play Spider-Woman?

More from Daisy Ridley

With Ridley unfamiliar with the Spider-Woman rumors, it seems unlikely for now that Ridley is in the running for the role. But who knows? The project has yet to be officially announced. And that means if Sony is looking for a Spider-Woman actress, there’s at least one more person who is totally available.

As CBR notes, Ridley wouldn’t be the first person to move over to the Marvel universe. Oscar Isaac is reportedly playing the role of Moon Knight in the upcoming Disney+ series. And of course, there have been many other Star Wars actors who have found themselves playing Marvel roles and vice versa.

Though, co-star John Boyega (Finn) didn’t seem to be in favor of playing another franchise role in the future. He stated that playing the same character over and over doesn’t give him the chance to grow as you would with playing other roles, and it feels more like a “luxury jail” to him.

Overall, all actors prefer to take on different types of roles — and being in the Marvel universe (whether through Sony or Marvel Studios) affords you the fun chance of sticking with a character and getting to see them evolve. We’ve seen this happen all the time on TV, and it’s just now becoming more of a movie phenomenon.

Even her Chaos Walking co-star Tom Holland seems to be having success in this area as the latest Spider-Man. (Though he did recently reveal he had auditioned for the role of Finn in The Force Awakens.) But we wish her the best of luck if she wants to join the Marvel Universe!
