After over 30 years of mystery pertaining to whether or not the fan-favorite Star Wars character Boba Fett survived falling into the Sarlacc Pit during Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, that question was finally answered in season 2 of The Mandalorian.

While how he escaped specifically to this point remains unknown, Fett did indeed survive his fall and escaped the Sarlacc, after which, he spent five years living on Tatooine searching for his missing Mandalorian Armor.

The armor, which made its way into Din Djarin’s possession, was eventually retrieved by Fett, and he would go on to don it as he assisted Mando in rescuing the Child, Grogu, from the Empire.

Following the season two finale, a post-credits scene played of Boba Fett and his partner Fennec Shand breaking into Jabba’s Palace where he kills Bib Fortuna, Jabba’s former assistant and the acting crime boss, and seizes the throne for himself.

Following this, a teaser for Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett was shown, and Disney confirmed that Boba would be receiving his own spin-off show, set concurrently with The Mandalorian timeline.

With the show set on the familiar planet of Tatooine five years after the events of Return of the Jedi —  we also know it may be in the same timeframe as shows like The Mandalorian, of course, as well as Ashoka and the Rangers of the New Republic series.

As such, there is a lot of potential for a few familiar faces from Star Wars lore to make an appearance.

As the showrunners displayed in The Mandalorian, they are more than willing to bring in characters of old and new, in an effort to link their shows to existing lore. So with all that said, here are five Star Wars characters who may appear in The Book of Boba Fett.
