Daisy Ridley is Spider-Woman in amazing new image

Many fans have absolutely been head-over-heels for Daisy Ridley as Rey in Star Wars. And for several years, we got to see her play the main character of the sequel movies, starring in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker. But now that her time as Rey has come to a close, what’s next for the actress?

So far, we’ve seen Ridley in movies like Murder on the Orient Express and Chaos Rising. But what if she made her way into another major movie franchise that rivals Star Wars? We’re talking about the Marvel universe!

It was revealed in February that there would be one fan-favorite character that Ridley wouldn’t mind playing: Spider-Woman. There had already been rumors that Ridley would be cast to play the character in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, but nothing has been confirmed just yet. Still, when asked about the rumors, Ridley responded: “OMG, I would love to play Spider-Woman. But is it more of like an extended Spiderverse thing?”

It would totally be an extended “Spiderverse thing,” meaning we could even see a crossover with her starring alongside the MCU’s/Sony’s Spider-Man, Tom Holland. So, what would it look like if she joined this Marvel universe?

What Daisy Ridley could look like as Spider-Woman in the Spider-Man universe

Despite there being no huge news about casting for a Spider-Woman movie so far, we do get to imagine what it would look like if Ridley would suit up as the wall-crawling character, thanks to artist ApexForm on Instagram.

In this absolutely amazing fan art, Ridley looks perfect for the role. The artist imagines her in a tattered suit, probably having just fought a difficult battle against one of her many foes. The suit isn’t the classic red and yellow Spider-Woman suit, but a re-imagining of Spider-Man’s red and blue suit. Though, what we love most about the costume is the yellow, glowing spider emblem on her chest (which kind of reminds us of her yellow lightsaber that she made in The Rise of Skywalker).

Already, Ridley has proven that she’s got the combat skills to make it work. She was absolutely a brilliant fighter as Rey in all three Star Wars movies, so we can’t let her waste those perfectly good skills. Starring in a solo Spider-Woman movie would be nothing short of awesome. And, with good luck, she may even be able to crossover into the MCU’s movies for some epic team-ups. (Or possibly even an A-Force movie!)
