The Bad Batch seems to live by the phrase, “out of the frying pan and into the fire,” because rest and relaxation are nowhere in their vocabulary or apparently in their future. The Bad Batch episode 5 trailer has dropped and this squad of elite soldiers is in quite the bind…literally.
Last week, in episode 4, a marketplace visit for supplies went horribly awry when Hunter, like many a parent, lost his child because she wandered off. Omega bumped into Fennec Shand, who gives off major wine aunt vibes, and trusted that she’d do her no harm and lead her back to the Dad Batch.
Cue a Western-style stand-off, a chase through the marketplace, flying vehicle hopping that resulted in a civilian casualty, and the chilling realization that Omega’s got a bounty for collection out on her. It was a good time for the audience, not such a good time for the Bad Batch.
What’s set to go wrong in episode 5, titled “Rampage”? Take a look at the trailer to get a taste of what’s in store for the clones this go around.
The Bad Batch episode 5 trailer
Clearly, from the trailer, we’re on yet another planet. At some point, the Dad Batch is going to have to get Omega a galaxy map so she can put a peg on each new destination she’s been to because her count is getting up there.
However, what the trailer for episode 5 doesn’t tell us is why the dust has yet again been kicked up for this misfit crew. They’re bound and leashed, there’s some kind of alien Cats revival going on with what’s presumably their antagonists for the episode, Omega is yet again in danger as is Echo, and there’s a creature on the loose.
To be honest, this whole lie-low strategy doesn’t seem to be working for the Bad Batch as no matter where they go, something always refuses to go as planned. How they’ll maneuver their way out of this latest tangle will certainly be a sight to see.
