Star Wars: The Bad Batch continues this week with episode 5, titled “Rampage,” following the titular group as they seek out answers about Omega. During episode 4, “Cornered,” we were introduced to a young Fennec Shand, a bounty hunter who’s after Omega. Now, Hunter and his crew are adamant about finding out why their new friend is so valuable and why someone would want her captured.

As the Clone Force 99 try to figure it out, they turn to Cid, a new character to the show living on Ord Mantell who was trusted by the Jedi. Cid has a bold personality and a very distinct voice. If you thought she sounded familiar while you were watching, you’re not alone. I immediately picked up on the sound of her voice and realized she had to be Rhea Perlman, who is best known for her roles in the classic show Cheers and the movie Matilda.

Though IMDb does not list Rhea Perlman in The Bad Batch cast list, Wikipedia does. Upon further research, I could not find any other information about who voices Cid online, but it might be because the episode is brand-new. That being said, it’s more than likely Perlman is voicing the fun character. She sounds just like her and I would be shocked if it wasn’t her!

Apart from playing Carla from 1982 to 1993 in Cheers and the memorable mom, Mrs. Wormwood, in Matilda, Rhea Perlman has also appeared in shows like The Mindy ProjectMe and My Grandma, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

As fans of The Bad Batch might know, Perlman is hardly the only recognizable celebrity to voice a character this season. Freddie Prinze Jr. reprised his role of Caleb Dume for the premiere episode, Ming-Na Wen returned as Fennech Shand, and Saturday Night Live comedian Taran Killam voices a depot manager, according to IMDb.
