Temuera Morrison gives new details on Boba Fett show
By Ben Winnell
In a recent interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Boba Fett actor Temuera Morrison dropped a few precious hints about what Star Wars fans can expect from the upcoming Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett.
While Morrison was hesitant about giving too much away, the New Zealand actor was able to illuminate viewers as to some of the things we can expect from the new series which is set to air later this year.
Morrison was able to reveal that the show will be exploring a part of the feared bounty hunter’s past. Specifically, what the clone warrior was doing in the time following The Empire Strikes Back, Fett’s first live-action appearance (if you don’t count the special edition, that is).
On the subject, Morrison said, “Somebody pointed out he’s been kind of stuck in this one place, and now’s the time to actually go back in time and check out his journey and find out more about [Fett].”
What new information have we learned about The Book of Boba Fett?
One of the most hotly asked questions about Fett’s history during this time is surely how he escaped the Sarlacc Pit after his iconic defeat at the hands of a half-blind Han Solo in Return of the Jedi. This question has been answered in the old Legends continuity of the saga, but only slim details exist in the current canon.
It can be presumed, however, that much of the show will be about the exploits of the bounty hunter following his conquest of Jabba’s old palace on Tatooine as we saw in the post-credit scene at the end of season 2 of The Mandalorian, where we first learned about the new Fett series.
