The Bad Batch season 1 episode 8 live stream: Watch online

As of this week’s episode, we are now at the halfway point of Star Wars: The Bad Batch and the overall story arc of the season seems to be taking shape.

Last week’s episode, “Battle Scars,” saw Clone Force 99 encounter yet another familiar face –Captain Rex, thanks to a transmission from the Martez sisters tipping him off.

While Rex obviously has his own tales to tell about the immediate aftermath of Order 66, his timing could not have been better as Wrecker’s headaches continued to get worse, signaling a glitch with the behavioral modification chip.

While the Bad Batch was unaware of the chips in their heads and how they worked, Rex was thankfully able to explain what they were and how desperately they needed them removed, just in time for Wrecker to temporarily turn into a “bad” clone.

Now that Clone Troop 99’s chips have been taken care of, though, they have plenty of bigger fish to fry. What about Crosshair? Will there be a way to break through to him and remove his chip or is it too late?

Additionally, the season has heavily foreshadowed a theme about choosing sides between the Empire and Republic. So while the Bad Batch have just barely gotten settled in working as mercenaries for Cid, they may have more decisions to make down the line about where to put their allegiance.
