Each week this spring and summer, Disney+ has brought us back to back amazing hits with Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
The series premiered on Star Wars Day (May 4)with an extensive premiere. And then it returned later that week on Friday, May 7 with episode 2. Since then, episodes have been releasing every Friday. And with each passing episode, we’ve learned more about Omega, the Bad Batch and the Empire that’s newly taken over the galaxy.
Based on last week’s episode, you may be wondering if there’s more to come. On Aug. 13, Disney+ released Episode 16, titled “Kamino Lost.” In that episode, the group narrowly escaped the sinking clone facility on Kamino. And it wrapped up with the group offering Crosshair the chance to rejoin their group, but he ultimately refused, choosing to side with the Empire instead.
Unfortunately, there won’t be a new episode on Aug. 20. Episode 16 was the finale of The Bad Batch season 1. And we’ll have to wait some time before the series returns.
When does The Bad Batch return?
Disney has confirmed that season 2 of The Bad Batch will return in 2022. And if it premieres around the same time as it did this year, that already means we have less than a year to go before season 2 happens.
The creators of The Bad Batch have already teased what’s on their minds for season 2 of the series. And it looks like the stakes will be even higher for the Bad Batch and the rest of the clones, who now no longer have a home on Kamino.
There are so many questions left to be asked about what happens to the Bad Batch, Omega, Crosshair, and the rest of the clones in season 2. And so we’re bound to see that story continue in a big way once season 2 premieres next year.
