September is here, which means we’re impatiently waiting for Star Wars: Visions to land on Disney+. The anime anthology series will be the latest project in the galaxy far, far away that has made its way to the streamer.
The summer months were spent traveling with Clone Force 99 and Omega in The Bad Batch. A season 2 renewal for the series was an excellent cap to our adventures with the crew. Now that we’re moving into fall, having another Star Wars show to look forward to in the lead-up to The Book of Boba Fett’s premiere in December is welcome news.
Star Wars: Visions is set to plunge us deep into storylines that are largely influenced by Japanese folklore and culture to shape a world that’s familiar to Star Wars fans but also uniquely different. There are a total of nine episodes to enjoy and each one puts a spin on the canon longtime fans have reveled in for years, if not decades.
Here’s when you can start watching the series on Disney+.
Star Wars: Visions release date
Star Wars: Visions premieres Wednesday, Sept. 22. This is keeping with the release model the streamer pivoted to after the success of Loki’s middle of the week episode premieres. If you got used to Friday releases thanks to The Bad Batch, you’ll want to mark your calendar.
The series also won’t be a week-to-week release for Disney+. All nine episodes of the anthology series are expected to drop on Sept. 22, which means you won’t have to wait to either watch the show in order or pick and choose which stories you’d like to watch first.
