Many Star Wars fans are anxious for the premiere of The Book of Boba Fett. And of course, this is a highly anticipated series. It’s the first solo outing for Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) on screen, and it’ll be a spinoff/continuation of his adventures in The Mandalorian.

Not much has officially been revealed about the series so far. Based on the end scene of The Mandalorian season 2, we do know that he’ll be fighting alongside Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen). And with Jabba’s old palace already in his control, who knows what he’ll be getting up to next?

If you are a little curious, there have been some rumors about the plot of the show. It can be a bit spoilery. So if you don’t want to know, you can read about those here. But whatever the case, it does seem like we have a thrilling, exciting series on our hands; it just won’t be coming out this month.

Disney+ released its lineup of series for this month. And while some great ones are promised — including Star Wars: Visions — The Book of Boba Fett is not part of the September line-up.

The Book of Boba Fett release date

The good news is that we’re getting closer and closer to the premiere of The Book of Boba Fett. As promised, the series will be premiering on Disney+ sometime around the holiday season. So, we’re looking at a December premiere date. But we don’t know right now what that exact date will be.

We also know that we’re getting closer and closer to seeing a trailer for The Book of Boba Fett, and there’s a good chance we’ll see that during Disney+ Day. On that day, Nov. 12, Disney will showcase all the new projects coming to the streaming service. And we have a hunch that The Book of Boba Fett won’t be left out of this. By then, we’ll probably get a release date for the series as well.

So, the good thing is that we’re in the latter half of 2021. We’ve survived most of the year already. And luckily, we’ll have Star Wars: Visions to hold us over in the meantime, as that premieres on Disney+ on Sept. 22.
