Snoopy. Garfield. Ronald McDonald. These are all legendary, S-tier balloons at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. And now, joining those ranks is a tiny little friend from a galaxy far, far away: Grogu.

That’s right! Floating high above the sky this Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, will be none other than The Mandalorian’s Baby Yoda himself, who’s growing a couple extra feet just for the occasion.

The new balloon will be modeled off of an original Funko Pop! design for The Child. And his dimensions are incredible: 41-feet high, 29-feet long, and 37-feet wide. We’re sure that’s a lot bigger than anyone from his species can dream of growing.

In fact, as reports, this is the very first Star Wars design to be featured in the parade. Considering Star Wars has been around for almost 45 years and the Macy’s parade has been around for 95 years, it’s amazing to see Star Wars finally being represented.

New Grogu Funko Pops! coming

Of course, Funko wouldn’t just release this design as a balloon and let this be the imaginary grail of our dreams. There will be several new Funko Pop! items based on this Grogu design over at

You’ll also be able to find some products available at Macy’s Herald Square in New York later this fall if you’re shopping in-store.

Included in this is a deluxe Funko Pop! of Grogu which looks exactly like the parade balloon, as well as a Pop! keychain featuring the same design. There’s also some apparel based on the design as well, so you can show off your Grogu and Thanksgiving parade spirit.

So, keep your eyes peeled for Grogu this November. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on NBC on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, beginning at 9 a.m.
