Skyguy and Snips will finally reunite. The Hollywood Reporter on Friday exclusively announced that Hayden Christensen will return as Anakin Skywalker in the live-action Star Wars: Ahsoka series.

While Clone Wars fans know Ahsoka as Anakin’s padawan in the animated series, Christensen’s appearance in the upcoming Disney+ series will make the first time the two characters have been seen together in live-action. It had already been announced that Christensen would reprise his role as Anakin in the forthcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which stars his prequel-era counterpart Ewan McGregor.

THR said multiple sources confirmed the news, but plot details for both series have been kept as under wraps as a Tusken Raider.

And, according to the outlet:

"“It is unclear how Skywalker, or for that matter, Vader, will figure into Ahsoka, which, like Mandalorian, is set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, thus after Vader’s death.”"

Ahsoka made her live-action debut with Rosario Dawson playing the older, not-a-padawan-anymore Togruta in season 2 of The Mandalorian. Dawson will return for the series, playing the former Jedi Knight who left the Jedi Order toward the end of the Clone Wars and managed to survive the massacres of Order 66. Fan-favorite Star Wars producing duo Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are back for the series, which is expected to begin production early next year.

Fans, of course, know Christensen for his iconic role as Anakin Skywalker in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. With the Kenobi series set after Revenge of the Sith, it’s probably safe to assume Christensen will play more of Darth Vader. With Ahsoka set after Vader’s death, could Christensen appear as Anakin in flashbacks? Maybe as a Force ghost? Time will tell.
