Disney just revealed some huge, can’t-miss announcements for Disney+ Day
By Mia Johnson
It’s going to be a big week for Disney, and the company revealed today the handful of things it has in store for Disney+ Day — which is officially on Friday, Nov. 12.
Previously, it was teased that the company would be holding a celebration like no other — some wondering if it would be like the Disney Investor Day presentation last year. But now, we know it’s going to be so much more.
First, let’s get to the good stuff, which is what people are most likely looking forward to: exclusive announcements. Beginning at 6 a.m. PT on Nov. 12, the Disney+ social handles will begin sharing exclusive first looks and more at upcoming Disney projects. Yes, it’s probably a bit early for a lot of us in the U.S., but at least you can look forward to waking up to some new trailers, clips, and other sneak peeks.
Unfortunately, Disney didn’t reveal what those first looks would be for. But considering they’re coming from all aspects of the Disney umbrella — from Star Wars to Marvel, Pixar and more — we can expect first looks at some of the already announced projects. Hopefully, on the Star Wars side, that means at least getting a trailer for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series and perhaps even Andor. Also, we’ve already gotten a trailer for The Book of Boba Fett, but an extra clip wouldn’t hurt if they felt so compelled to share it.
But wait, there’s more Disney+
The exclusive first looks aren’t the only things the company has up its sleeves for this week. For example, on Nov. 12, guests at select Disney Parks will get the blue carpet treatment and will get to experience photo opportunities and more based on the Disney+ properties.

Also, Target will hold events from Nov. 12 to Nov. 14 in stores across the U.S. No details have been revealed about that, but it should be interesting to see what they have planned. On top of that, there will be Disney+ pop-up events, including one that launched in New York today. It will head to Nashville on Nov. 10 and Los Angeles on Nov. 12.
What’s more, Disney will be holding surprise screenings of old favorites at select AMC theaters for movies under the Disney umbrella. And if you’re looking for something at home, the streaming service will add more titles — in addition to the previously announced ones — including Enchanted, Marvel Studios Legends: Hawkeye, and more.
To round things off, Disney will also be sharing some discounts on select online retailers, such as shopDisney and Funko. It’s a lot to unpack, so you’ll want to check out this post from Disney+ for more information and details on any of the promotions going on this week.
