Marvel’s line of Star Wars comics is bigger than ever, and with several limited ongoing series in progress, the issues seem to be adding up even more impressively. But it’s not just The High Republic getting all the attention. More of your favorite Star Wars characters, such as Darth Vader, are also getting the spotlight.

StarWars.com just released a preview for its February 2022 Marvel titles, and there isn’t a single one you’re going to want to miss. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect, including what you might need to read first and who you might run into (in-universe) along the way.

  • Star Wars: The High Republic #14 & #15
  • Star Wars: The High Republic: Eye of the Storm #2 (of 2)
  • Star Wars: The High Republic: Trail of Shadows #5 (of 5)
  • Star Wars: The Halcyon Legacy #2 (of 5)
  • Star Wars (2020) #21
  • Star Wars: Darth Vader (2020) #20

Is that Marchion Ro on the cover of Eye of the Storm #2? Yes. Yes it is. This limited series will serve as the High Republic villain’s origin story and will launch with its first issue in January 2022.

What stands out most about the second issue of The Halcyon Legacy here isn’t necessarily the synopsis, but the cover. Bounty hunter Aura Sing is back! At least, part of her story will be told in a flashback as part of the comic’s ongoing arc. No one’s ever really gone, especially with the power of backward storytelling magic.

And once again, Darth Vader (2020) #20 will bring readers face-to-face with Sabé, one of Padmé’s former handmaidens determined to avenge her mysterious death. Sabé was first re-introduced earlier on in the same comic, after she became a main character in E.K. Johnston’s Padmé novels. If you haven’t read the rest of the comics in this series, you have a little time to catch up.

One final note: Don’t sleep on the Trail of Shadows series. It’s one big mystery-solving adventure … in space. What’s not to love?
