Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, in celebration of Lucasfilm’s 50th anniversary, is in the process of releasing five “new” characters to the free-to-play mobile game. They may be new to the gameplay itself, but not to many of its players. Dash Rendar was just the first of a series of Star Wars Legends characters to join the game at the tail end of 2021. Kyle Katarn is the latest addition.

According to the development team behind Galaxy of Heroes and Katarn’s character kit: “Kyle Katarn was a famous Force-sensitive Rebel operative and a Jedi of the New Jedi Order. His first appearance was in Star Wars: Dark Forces, a first-person shooter computer game released in 1995.”

The game’s developers designed Katarn’s kit to reflect his Jedi Outcast gameplay, which involved him using both blasters and a lightsaber (since you couldn’t immediately acquire a lightsaber at the start of the game).

This character can easily be unlocked through his Marquee event (ongoing now), but leveling him up in the event’s final bonus tier won’t be nearly as simple. To get Katarn to five stars, you’ll have to purchase the in-game Jedi Outcast Bundle or Jedi Outcast Pack.

The game has now brought two Legends characters from older titles to Galaxy of Heroes players. Are more iconic heroes (and villains) on the way?

The official Galaxy of Heroes forums indicate that two more characters will have upcoming Marquee events, and all four of the characters will be required to complete an upcoming Legacy Event. Unlocking Starkiller (The Force Unleashed) will not be easy. But players can come prepared to achieve victory … if they dare.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 might be the end of the series as we know it. light. Related Story
