When it comes to Star Wars, there are just some characters you can’t help but instantly fall in love with. For fans of The Mandalorian and The Bad Batch, Fennec Shand quickly became a widespread favorite. It helps that Fennec is played and voiced by the legendary Ming-Na Wen, who brings her endless energy and passion for Star Wars to every moment she appears on screen.

Upon seeing the official Lucasfilm Ltd. 2021 Christmas card, Wen took to Twitter to share her delight in what she saw: her very own Fennec Shand appearing alongside the likes of Obi-Wan Kenobi and other beloved characters (loth-cat included!).

“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagined this could happen,” the actor tweeted earlier this morning. “To be part of this is shaking me to the core!”

Wen recently joined the Lucasfilm “family” in 2020 when she debuted as Fennec Shand in The Mandalorian. She has gone on to voice Fennec in the animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and will reprise her role in live-action once again in The Book of Boba Fett this December.

She added in another tweet: “As I’m sharing this with family (who still don’t understand my love for [Star Wars]) & my friends (who do understand), I began to tear up. With each new text, the tears started falling. I am an emotional mess right now.”

It has been a lifelong dream for Wen to be a part of Star Wars. Though she appeared in multiple Disney-owned properties before becoming the already beloved bounty hunter – she voiced the title character in Mulan and starred in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Agent Melinda May – being part of a galaxy far, far away has turned the Disney legend’s life upside-down in the best possible way.
