They say that when you’re doing what you love, work sometimes doesn’t feel like work. It’s no surprise that Ming-Na Wen would take no issue with doing a little work for her dream gig — playing a character in Star Wars.

Even though there’s a lot we still don’t know about The Book of Boba Fett, set to release this December, Ming-Na Wen and the rest of the cast is ready to reveal … as much as they can get away with before the rest of us get a peek.

“How much do I adore @disney? Enough to work for them on my day off,” the actor wrote in a recent Instagram post alongside a photo of her on-the-go filming setup. Apparently, she shot some promotional material for Disney while in Mexico City working on a different project.

Ming-Na Wen in The Book of Boba Fett

She may not have gotten her start in Star Wars, but she found her way to the franchise thanks to connections she had through working on a different project a few decades earlier. Like many of us, Ming-Na Wen grew up dreaming of being able to be in Star Wars. And unlike most of us, her dream actually became a reality.

Starting in December 2021, Ming-Na Wen will have portrayed Fennec Shand in three separate Star Wars series: The Mandalorian, where she made her galaxy far, far away debut; The Bad Batch, where she lends her voice to the animated version of the same character; and finally The Book of Boba Fett, a Mandalorian spinoff where her character will appear alongside the legendary Boba Fett.

While we don’t yet know what the future holds for Fennec during or following the series — and we have yet to learn how she gets from her rookie bounty hunting days in The Bad Batch to fighting alongside “the Alpha” decades later — one thing’s for sure: Ming-Na Wen will absolutely steal every scene she’s in, in the best way possible, as she always does.
