Who is the voice actor behind Cad Bane in The Book of Boba Fett?
Who could have guessed The Book of Boba Fett was going in this direction? Who could have guessed the Disney Plus show would bring a Star Wars character we had yet to see in the live-action format?
For those who missed Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes a Stranger, bounty hunter and mercenary Cad Bane arrived and possibly killed Cobb Vanth at the newly named Freetown. Cobb Vanth successfully managed to kill and scare away several Pykes at the beginning of the episode.
He was then approached by Din Djarin asking for help against said Pyke Syndicate. Cobb Vanth declines and not long after a stranger arrives from the desert.
In pure Wild West style, Cad Bane makes his powerful presence known and warns Cobb Vanth to not get involved with the possible incoming war between Boba Fett and the Pykes. While Cobb Vanth wishes no involvement and hopes Freetown will be left unharmed his new recruit decides to act out.
The Book of Boba Fett has brought Cad Bane to life but who is the voice behind the bounty hunter?
In the process, the new recruit is brutally killed and Cobb Vanth is shot but may have survived. It wouldn’t be surprising if Cad Bane looks familiar.
He has made several appearances in Star Wars such as The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch. Even though I’ve seen neither show, I recognized him immediately.
It wouldn’t be surprising if his voice sounded familiar as well. If you guessed, Corey Burton, you’d be correct!
Burton has an extensive and I do mean extensive resume of his work. I’m talking the horror movie Critters from the 80s, Rubber Chicken in Darkwing Duck, The Adventures of Spot, several characters in Disney’s Hercules film, Toy Story 2, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, the TV series Lego Star Wars: All-Stars, and the upcoming Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers.
