Ray Stevenson has reportedly been cast in Star Wars: Ahsoka.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will join Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, and others in the exclusive Disney+ series. Similar reports have also indicated that the character of Sabine Wren will hold a prominent role in the series. Stevenson’s role and details surrounding his involvement have not been specified.

One of the most interesting points Star Wars fans have been buzzing about since the announcement is that Stevenson voiced Mandalorian Gar Saxon in Star Wars: Rebels. Some are speculating that the actor will reprise his role as the character in live-action somehow despite his fate in Season 3. However, he also appeared in the final season of The Clone Wars, also voiced by Stevenson.

Stevenson has appeared in projects such as Dexter and Vikings in addition to lending his voice to several Star Wars TV shows.

While the actor’s role currently remains a mystery, we do have some details regarding the series as a whole. It will follow the character of Ahsoka Tano and is being reported as a spinoff of The Mandalorian just like The Book of Boba Fett. Some outlets report that it will be a limited series similar to Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi.

While reports have indicated that Hayden Christensen will appear in the series alongside the main cast, it’s still unclear how big of a role his character will play in the story. Some speculate the return of Force Ghost Anakin, while others wonder if we will see yet another version of Darth Vader appear on the small screen.

Star Wars: Ahsoka stars Rosario Dawson, Ivanna Sakhno, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and more, and is expected to arrive on Disney+ sometime in 2023.
