Temuera Morrison channels his inner Boba Fett in new Instagram video
By Meg Dowell
Boba Fett doesn’t like it when he isn’t shown respect, and neither does Temuera Morrison. The Star Wars actor responded to recent comments from fans by posting a workout video to Instagram showing off his “moves.”
“Some one called me Boba Fat,” he wrote on Sunday, “so I thought [I’d] do something about it.”
The video is a workout session from Morrison’s Book of Boba Fett training and features him lifting weights with his trainer, who he also thanked in the post.
While age is just a number, it’s worthy to note that Morrison is 61, and there are more people in their 60s not lifting weights and starring in their own TV shows than those who are. So hopefully the Star Wars “fan” who used that Boba Fat joke isn’t too miserable in the former category.
Morrison first joined a galaxy far, far away in 2002’s Attack of the Clones where he played ruthless bounty hunter Jango Fett. Though his character did not survive the film, he returned to the franchise in live-action almost two decades later when he played Boba Fett for the first time in The Mandalorian Season 2.
In 2021, he starred in The Book of Boba Fett alongside Ming-Na Wen. He had plenty of action scenes despite his character spending some of the series healing from severe injuries, but they were what you’d expect from a retired bounty hunter who survived the Sarlacc pit. At least he got his revenge, right?
At this time, it’s unclear whether or not Morrison will return in another season of Book of Boba Fett or The Mandalorian. What matters most is that he’s having a great time being in Star Wars, and deserves all the kind words you can give him. Boba Fat? Not today!
