For Star Wars fans with younglings running around, this August will present an opportunity to bring a new galaxy into your kitchens. Star Wars: The Padawan Cookbook will be a Star Wars-inspired cookbook directed toward children from 8 to 12 years old, but it could provide entertainment for fans of any age.

The Padawan Cookbook was written by Jenn Fujikawa and Liz Lee Heinicke. Some may recognize Fujikawa from her other Star Wars cookbooks. Star Wars: The Life Day Cookbook is a holiday craft and recipe book, while Star Wars: Galactic Baking features recipes inspired by different planets. Both have been available since 2021.

Their current book will be published by Insight Editions in hardcover and as an eBook. Its official description by the distributor Simon and Schuster revealed that in addition to 50 recipes, there will be a variety of other content for both parents and children to enjoy.

In an effort to build cooking skills, the book will include cooking tips and a kitchen guide. The recipes are also expected to cover lessons about culinary science. Those trying to teach their padawans the ways of the kitchen may find these sections helpful.

As for the recipes, there will be a variety of meals, snacks, and even drinks to prepare. Detailed instructions and photos will be incorporated. With influences from Star Wars movies, as well as animated and live-action shows, fan-favorite characters such as Chewbacca and Ahsoka Tano are sure to be represented.

For children who are just starting to take an interest in cooking, this book could be the perfect gift. This cookbook would not only be a connection of their interests in the galaxy far, far away but a resource to expand their skills.

Star Wars: The Padawan Cookbook will be published on August 16, 2022 and is available for pre-order.
