Ever since the Skywalker Saga officially concluded with The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, Star Wars fans have been waiting anxiously to find out what’s next — and when. The announcement of Rogue Squadron has been dampened by rumors of delays and cancelations, and it’s been a while since we’ve gotten an update on Taika Waititi’s Star Wars film.

But all this waiting and wondering may soon come to an end thanks to Star Wars Celebration. On May 26, the convention’s opening day, renowned Star Wars filmmakers will gather together to present a panel that will presumably reveal … at least some of what fans want to know. And not just the movies, but upcoming live-action series as well.

The StarWars.com announcement promises this panel will “discuss the many Star Wars adventures coming soon, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and The Mandalorian.” No specific films are mentioned, but the panel does give the creatives behind these projects more freedom to discuss the future of Star Wars as a whole.

Are you more interested in updates related to the upcoming Star Wars animated shows? There may be additional opportunities for you to hear more about what’s coming next. Celebration will also feature a panel specifically dedicated to The Bad Batch, which might include some announcements about the future. Dave Filoni will also be joining a Disney+ panel with Jon Favreau to discuss The Mandalorian, but there could be some nods to animated projects. At Star Wars Celebration, just about anything can happen.

Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022 takes place from May 26 to May 29 with more guests, panels and more to be announced in the weeks leading up to the event. Stay tuned for more coverage before and during the convention.
