LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga mod lets you play as Cal Kestis from Jedi: Fallen Order
By Meg Dowell
Ever since the first Star Wars video games allowed players to immerse themselves in a galaxy far, far away, fans have been finding creative ways to play as their favorite characters — even when those characters weren’t originally part of a particular game. One fan, noticing Cal Kestis from Jedi: Fallen Order wasn’t playable in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, decided to take matters into their own hands with a mod.
The Daily Star Wars Games Twitter account posted photos of the mod and a link to download, which will allow players to bring a piece (multiple pieces?) of Fallen Order to the latest LEGO Star Wars game.
Even though The Skywalker Saga has nearly 400 characters total, one thing players continue to raise questions about is the lack of character customization in the game. The announcement of multiple DLC packs means more characters will continue to be added, but so far, characters from other games — like Fallen Order and Squadrons — are being left out of the fray.
The game does focus primarily on the movies with some shows included in the DLCs, which explains why characters from Fallen Order are missing. Chances are, we’ll see plenty of mods like the one above created by fans who want their favorite characters in their new favorite game.
While there have been rumors of a Jedi: Fallen Order sequel of some kind, it would be a while before fans got to continue that story with either familiar or new characters even if it were announced soon. So for now, mods like Cal in The Skywalker Saga might be the closest we’re going to get.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is available now on your favorite gaming platforms, including but not limited to PC, Xbox One and Series S/X, Playstation 4/5, and more.
